In the Lok Sabha, he raised the issue of the doctors' strike on Thursday and gave the attention of the House towards problems arising from it. Hema said in her speech that doctors are given status of God in the country and should not be beaten up with them. He demanded the Central Government to make laws to protect the doctors so that the doctors did not have to go on strike after such incidents.
Hema Malini is not only raising the issue of the country in the House but she is also conscious of the people of Mathura in her parliamentary constituency. On Thursday evening, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised the issue of development of Mathura in his parable. Hema asked PM Modi to provide clean drinking water for his area in particular. In response, the Prime Minister told him that many projects for water supply are still in the pipeline and this is also being done in the direction of water conservation
In this episode, Hema Malini has also met Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Friday. He has requested the Education Minister to set up a central school in his area so that the children of his area can get the benefit. Hema had also discussed the issue of Thanksgiving in the Lok Sabha on the issue and thanked the Modi Government for his fame. Referring to the women centric schemes of the central government, he said that people have benefited greatly by making Ujjwala, good luck and toilets.
